Suarez Hat Trick - First Win for Liverpool!

5 matches, 2 draws and 3 losses. Liverpool had an awful start this season in the Premier league and was against Norwich City, a match which they had to win to avoid total disgrace.

Liverpool made a few changes to the line up, Suso, Sahin came as a replacement for Borini who got injured and Shelvey who got red carded. Wisdom also made his first premier league debut as a right side back.

The match moved just after 65 seconds with Suarez picking up a loose ball just outside the box and finishing it into the left bottom corner. The match continued with liverpool being the slightly better side and on the 22nd minute, there was almost a penalty to double the lead as Barnett pushes Suarez inside the box but the ref ignored it.
Then, it was Suarez again. From the opposition goal kick, he crept behind the defender who had a bad first touch and stole the ball. He quickly turned around and blasted it into the net with his right foot.
Even after half time, the party does not end as Nuri Sahin scores his first premier league goal and Gerrard also gets a lucky goal. And on the 57th minute, Suarez completes his Hat Trick, a great shot from the edge of the box. Norwich gets two goals at the near end of the match but their come back was too late as the ending whistle gets blown, the result of the match being 5-2 to liverpool. With their first win after 6 matches, Liverpool will face Udinese in the Europa league and Stoke city in the Premier league next week hoping to win both matches.

Liverpool vs Manchester United

The match between Liverpool who have still not won a match in the premier league this year and Manchester United turned into the blood bath that many have predicted.

So, it actually looked like liverpool might win. Manchester united had a sloppy start and it continued on with many chances for liverpool. On the 9th minute Gerrard has a great shot on goal just a bit wide. Suarez makes many chances threatening the opposition goal multiple times. Liverpool takes several corner kicks terrifying United defense but cannot get that finishing blow and fails to score. It looked like a matter of time for liverpool to score until, Shelvey, who was awarded a place in the starting eleven by his great performance in the europe league, match got a red card. That was pretty much all the highlight for me. He didn't deserve a red. Yes it was a two footed tackle but you know who also did a two footed tackle at the same time? Evans. The boy who went for the ball, got touched by Shelvey and cried like a baby. I'm not saying that it wasn't dangerous. I'm just saying that if Shelvey screamed first, Evans would have probably been the man getting off the pitch. So with 10 people for liverpool, man united started getting closer to goal. Although Gerrard scored a goal on the twentieth million chance, they started getting sloppy soon after that and Man united scored in their first chance just a few minutes after Gerrard's. By the 70th minute, everything seemed to calm down but Liverpool had to give another decisive foul. And this time, in the box. Van Persie took the penalty, went in, GAME OVER. Wow. Only if liverpool had scored at least one goal in the first half when they had 11 people.

Highlights Japanese soccer players

Goals are like Ketchup

"Goals are like Ketchup"
Keisuke Honda, the japanese footballer, said the quote in the title after a though match between Japan and Iraq which Japan some how won 1-0. Although Japan attacked like crazy, they could only get one goal. Many were frustrated about the result including players, but Honda said it in a unique way claiming that if they had scored the 2nd, it would have continued 3,4 and so on.

Just 4 days after that incident, the ketchup easily came out for many japanese players. Honda himself scored 2 goals in his league match against Alania in Russia. In Germany, the third fixture became a japanese festival as Hiroshi Kiyotake scored one and assisted two, 20 year old Takashi Usami scored his first goal  in the budesliga with a world class shot in the right hand corner after turning around with one touch, and Takashi Inui also scored his first goal in his league. I hope these players can keep playing like this so that in 10 years the quote "Goals are like ketchup" gets changed into "Goals are like water". Subscribe, comment and bye bye.

b) Which of these 3 is something you will likely never forget?
Balancing chemical equations because it is something I worked very hard on to do.

c) What was your favorite thing we did in this unit? why?
Experiments that we did at the start because it was a hand on experiment which you could visually see how the elements reacted.

d) What is something you are still curious about that you would like to know about more?
I would like to know more about compounds.

The second Shinji Kagawa

Sunday mornings in Japan are mostly taken over by Shinji Kagawa the Manchester United player being everywhere in newspapers and TV. But today's morning was a bit different. Although it featured a Japanese soccer player, he wasn't Kagawa; his name was Kiyotake Hiroshi.

The Japanese 23year-old coming from the same club Cereso Osaka as Kagawa was in, only joined Nuremberg, a German football club this Summer. Kiyotake led the U-23 Japan team to the best 4 in the Olympics with 3 assists, narrowly missing the medals. Although he did have some communication issues, he has been playing as the starting eleven in all of Nuremberg's matches until now.

As usual Kiyotake played as a Offensive midfielder yesterday against Borussia Mönchengladbach, the team which came 4th last season in the german Bundesliga. Many had thought that Nuremberg would be the ones to go away looking down, but they were wrong.

On the 17th minute from a freekick around 30 meters from goal, he sends a beautiful cross in which Timm Klose heads in. Just eight minutes after the opening goal, Kiyotake makes an another assist from a corner kick, curling it on to Timmy Simons' head. However victory doesn't come easily for them as the opposition get 2 goals and sends it all back to zero. With the team looking down and the flow pushing Borussia, it looked like a certain loss if it continued this way. But it was again the Japanese samurai which saved the team, scoring his first goal for the club just two minutes after they had been tied.

With his hard work for the win, he has been rated the best player of the match in almost every article. If he continues to show this kind of play, it won't be long until he follows Shinji Kagawa's footsteps.

Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal

Two days ago, all newspapers had the same front page saying "Van Persie earns a Hat trick". But behind the scenes of the spectacular 3-2 win by Manchester United,  there was another big match which to was more important than any hat trick. Liverpool vs Arsenal. So, liverpool started with a 4-3-3 formation with Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Jose Enrique, Gerrard, Allen, Sahin, Borini, Suarez, Sterling.  The match started with Arsenal keeping slightly more possession than Liverpool,  although it was Borini who made the first attempt for goal. On the 12th minute when Gerrard's corner kick met spot on with Daniel Agger's head, but sadly the shot went wide. This was probably the biggest chance for liverpool. On the 26th minute the 17 year-old dribbler Rahim Sterling got a freekick in an inviting position but Gerrard's attempt was blocked by the wall. Liverpool looked like they were getting their way through until, Lucas Podolski put it in the back of the net with a bit of luck. As soon as Arsenal nicked off Gerrard's pass on their side, they performed a quick counter and Cazorla sent a through ball to Podolski who had out run Enrique. The German's shot could have been saved by Reina, but it slipped past his arms and got swallowed into the net. That pretty much settled the game. Although Liverpool did find a few chances from Sterling's great play, but Arsenal scored yet again and the game was put to sleep. A disappointing 2-0 defeat in their home ground Anfield.

There wasn't much to see from Liverpool except for Gerrard's sloppy play giving me the thought that even legends can't compete against age. However there was one shining light which was Rahim Sterling, the 17 year-old who without any doubt, showed the greatest play for the Reds.

The next match is against Sunderland, who have had 2 draws up to now. Although odds are high that the Reds are going to finally grab a win, it will depend on the captain's play going down or up. Subscribe, Comment and bye bye.

(Although I have written the post like I actually saw the match, I coudn't see it with eyes of my own and had to rely on highlights that I saw later.)

Welcome to WhyBlog

Hi everyone!
This is my new blog "WhyBlog".  Before any angry comments arrive, I'm going to tell you this blog isn't going to be funny or anything because it's written by nobody else than me. Sorry to break any hopes that you guys had. If you still have the guts to read my blog, then go ahead. It's going to be about school, my life and most of all, football. I'm quite a fan of football and is a liverpool supporter (though I can't watch their matches live because of the region I'm in). I play the sport a bit though I have more fun watching. So, that is it for today; subscribe, comment and bye bye.
